Yes, I truly do feel like I’m on Kimkins. Not the Kimkinsesque diet I followed, a couple months back, but the actual diet behind the diet that’s caused so much controversy as of late. Apparently the Kimkins diet used a term called SNATT to describe being in “deep ketosis” aka starvation on 300 calories a day. SNATT stands for “Semi Naseous All The Time.” Yes sir, this is how I feel. Kind of like a flu like thing.
Strange thing is, it only seems to hit me between meals. I feel fine when I’m eating something, but like clockwork, within 30-60 minutes of finishing a meal, the blahs and blecks set in. Well, prayerfully this will let up at the end of the first trimester.
In other news my belly is itching like crazy (probably due to the increased blood flow) and I weighed in at 161 this morning.
That’s up from my lowest weight of 154.5. Granted the gain is most water weight due to switching from low carb to high carb eating, yet and still, it’s maddening! I need to find a good protein supplement FAST as my body is not tolerating meat very well. I just blew 30 bucks on a 2lb container of what WAS my favorite protein powder, Jay Robb Whey Protein. The reason I say was, is because when I made myself a shake it tasted like rust and soap! Granted, I know it has nothing to do with Jay’s protein, which normally tastes great to me, but rather is caused by my wacked out pregnancy taste buds, but still, I barely kept that shake down.
Hopefully I can find something better, maybe even something where I can try a sampler before I buy it (actually Jay DOES have samplers but I’ve been drinking his shakes for so long I was sure it would taste good.) So my poor hubby won’t have to finish all these protein powders for me LOL!
