Well, I’m still using my Calorie King tracker to keep track of what I’m eating…the good, the bad, and the ugly! I weigh in every Wednesday so I figured I’d keep it up on this blog as well. My last posted weight and measure was done on October 17th so this will be a 1 week update. Here ya go!

2.5 pounds gained in a week my goodness!
Prayerfully this upward trend will not continue. The gain in my lower body is pretty baffling to me because I never gain much weight there….this could be a positive change as I could use some more cushion LOL! The inch in the boobs though…don’t need that! Where is the weight coming from? Who knows? I mean to gain 2.5 pounds in a week, theoretically I would have to eat an extra 8,750 calories and I certainly didn’t do that! My only conclusion is that it’s my changing body (more milk glands, more blood volume etc.) I won’t stress over it though. As long as I continue to eat sensibly, keep my calories at 1900 net (food eaten minus calories burned through exercise) and exercise a minimum of 150 minutes a week, that’s all I can do.
Well, in other news, I’ve discovered that my baby is taking after his/her father….it appears the only thing palatable to me is Mexican food! Actually, when you buy the real authentic stuff (not the watered down, Gringo friendly commercialized Taco Bell stuff lol) it’s actually pretty healthy! I’ve been eating Taquitos, Fajitas, and Tacos (made with lean steak, onions, lime, and cilantro, not ground beef, lettuce and cheese like us Americans are used to) and I must say, the taste is soooo good! My friend at church says the only Mexican food to really watch out for is Tamales because they’re usually cooked in lard. I don’t particularly like Tamales so no biggie for me lol. I actually bought an authentic Mexican cookbook so I can prepare some of this at home as well (The dude at the taco stand we get our food from just raised his prices on us! I think it’s because he’s gotten a lot more popular with the gringos lol! Hopefully he doesn’t water down his recipe!
The nausea is still kicking my butt….actually, it’s becoming slightly worse! Come on second trimester already LOL! I have an appointment to do my blood work next Tuesday and will be meeting the doctor for the first time on December 3rd.
Well, with that I’m going to end this super long post now, but will check back soon!
Blessings,
Kassandra
